EMDR Therapy

EMDR is a trauma-informed therapy that supports the mind and body to process distressing memories, sensations, and beliefs that may still be shaping your life.

Sometimes these experiences are clear. Other times, they sit more quietly in the background - showing up as anxiety, low mood, relational difficulties, self-doubt, or a sense of feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you.

EMDR gently supports you to understand how past experiences continue to influence your present-day reactions, emotions, and relationships. Through a careful and contained process, these memories can be reprocessed so they begin to lose their emotional intensity and no longer carry the same weight in your nervous system.

Over time, this work can shift how you experience yourself and your world - bringing a greater sense of ease, presence, and connection. You may find it easier to express your needs, feel more grounded in yourself, and relate to others with less fear, guilt, or shame.

How does EMDR work

EMDR uses bilateral stimulation - eye movements, tapping, or tones - to gently engage both sides of the brain. This supports the nervous system to begin processing experiences that may have felt too overwhelming at the time, even when words are hard to find.

Rather than relying only on talking, EMDR works with the brain’s natural capacity to heal - allowing earlier experiences to be processed, settled, and more fully integrated.

Healing Across Time

EMDR doesn’t only focus on the past - it works across time.

Together, we may touch connect with memories from the past, notice what is being activated in the present, and gently explore fears or concerns about the future.

This way of working allows healing to unfold not only around what has happened, but how those experiences continue to live on in the body and in the beliefs you hold about yourself.

A Path Back to Yourself

Whether you are navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, childhood wounds, or relational struggles, EMDR offers a way to reconnect with yourself and move toward a greater sense of ease.

You don’t need to re-tell your whole story for it to shift.

Your body already holds a pathway toward healing.
