Consultation through a relational and systemic Lens

EMDR Consultation

Working with therapists Australia-wide.

I’m an Accredited EMDR Consultant, Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, Clinical Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor - supporting therapists in navigating the complexities of trauma with compassion, clarity, and depth.

This work asks so much of us and having a reflective space to pause, process, and grow can make all the difference.

Together, we explore your clinical questions, uncertainties, and evolving edges with curiosity, always anchored in your values and therapeutic integrity. This is a grounded and relational space to deepen reflection, and strengthen confidence.

EMDR Consultation for Social Workers, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, and Psychologists at all stages of their journey — from those beginning to integrate EMDR into clinical practice following basic training, through to experienced practitioners wanting to deepen their confidence and understanding of more complex presentations.

My approach is relational, reflective, and grounded in thoughtful exploration of the therapeutic process, supporting therapists to move beyond protocol alone and into a more attuned and integrative EMDR practice.

Together, we may explore case conceptualisation, target mapping, dissociation, attachment dynamics, and the unfolding links between present-day experiences, emotional states, and relational themes.

Consultation is not only about developing EMDR skills, but also about supporting therapists to feel more present, resourced, curious, and connected within the therapy room.

EMDR Consultation

A Systemic Lens in EMDR Consultation

Consultation is a collaborative space to slow down, reflect, and explore the wider relational and systemic patterns shaping your client’s experience - moving beyond symptoms alone and into a deeper understanding of the person within their context.

Together, we may explore family dynamics, attachment ruptures, intergenerational trauma, dissociation, therapist activation, and the ways these patterns can emerge both within the client’s internal world and the therapeutic relationship itself.

The way I work gently integrates systemic, schema, attachment, and parts-based perspectives to support you in deepening attunement, strengthening case conceptualisation, and navigating stuck or looping processing with greater clarity and confidence.

Rather than focusing solely on interventions and protocol, consultation becomes a space to expand your lens, strengthen your therapeutic intuition, and honour the fuller story surrounding your clients and the work itself.

There’s space here to bring what feels complex or difficult to hold alone….

The way I work Supports you to:

  • build confidence in applying EMDR protocols within clinical practice

  • deepen case conceptualisation and target mapping

  • work with dissociation, attachment wounds, and complex trauma presentations

  • hold a wider awareness of the systems and relationships your client is part of

  • work with intergenerational trauma in a more integrated way

  • navigate stuck or looping processing with greater clarity

  • feel more grounded and resourced within complex therapeutic work

  • deepen your therapeutic presence, attunement, and clinical confidence

  • LOVELY EXPERIENCE

“Receiving EMDR consultation from Rachael was a lovely experience for me as a practitioner. She brings with her an immediate sense of warmth, space and experience that comes through in managing our group consultation. She was able to balance the needs of the group while addressing key points and was helpful to facilitate our growth. It is a lovely experience to work with Rachael!”
